Transfer & Cancellation Policy

This Transfer and Cancellation Policy consolidates the terms for all Adversity Leadership Institute (ALI) offerings. By enrolling in any program, participants and organizations agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Scope of Application

This policy applies to the following program categories (collectively referred to as “Programs”):

  • Lead to Connect® Signature Leadership Experience Series.
  • Flagship Frameworks Training programs.
  • Adversity Leadership Institute Leadership Retreats.
  • Digital Access Programs.
  • Custom & Enterprise Engagements.

Admission & Enrollment

Participation is by application and acceptance. Enrollment is officially confirmed only once the specific payment terms for the program have been satisfied.

2. Standard Transfer Terms

All transfer requests must be submitted in writing. Approved transfers may be applied to a future session of the same program or another program of equal value within its specific category.

Notice Period (Prior to Start) Transfer Fee
More than 30 Days One (1) transfer permitted at no additional cost.
15 – 30 Days Transfer fee of 25% of the program investment.
14 Days or Fewer Transfer fee of 50% of the program investment.

Note on Expiration: All transferred enrollments must be utilized within six (6) months of the original program start date. Unused transfers after this period are forfeited.

3. Standard Cancellation & Refund Terms

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds are processed based on the following timeline:

Notice Period (Prior to Start) Refund Amount
More than 30 Days Full Refund (less 10% administrative & processing fee).
15 – 30 Days 50% Refund (50% of investment is non-refundable).
14 Days or Fewer / No-Show No Refund (100% of investment is non-refundable).

4. Program-Specific Exceptions

To ensure clarity across different delivery formats, the following specific terms apply:

  • Digital Access Programs: Digital programs are strictly non-refundable once access/licensing has been activated.
  • Custom & Enterprise Programs: For fully customized engagements and private deliveries, the specific terms defined within the Service Agreement (SA) or Statement of Work (SOW) take precedence.
  • Deposits (Custom): Deposits for custom programs become non-refundable immediately upon the commencement of program design or preparation.
  • Substitutions (Enterprise/Team): Participant substitutions are permitted with written notice if:
    1. The substitute meets all eligibility requirements.
    2. No pre-program assessments, materials, or licenses have been activated for the original participant.

 5. Institute Rights & Force Majeure

Program Changes

The Adversity Leadership Institute reserves the right to adjust program dates, locations, delivery formats, or faculty to maintain program quality. If the Institute initiates a reschedule, participants may:

  1. Transfer to the rescheduled date at no cost.
  2. Apply the full investment to a future program.

Force Majeure

The Institute is not liable for delays or cancellations resulting from events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government acts, travel disruptions, or public health emergencies). In such cases, the Institute will make reasonable efforts to provide transfers or credits.
